Driver Training |
Course
Content - On the 1st
January 1997 EU Directive 91/439 came
into effect, which required drivers
to pass a theoretical test prior to
sitting the practical LGV driving test.
Staged Testing
From 1st January 1997 drivers will have to pass a category C (rigid) test prior to moving on to category C + E (articulated/ draw-bar).

Driving Course - This
particular course has been specifically

toenhance their driving standards.
Corrective Driver Training - This course is designed to increase the drivers awareness of the dangers he/ she will
encounter inevery day conditions particularly in terms of planning and observation.
Road Assimilation & Planning - This course is designed to increase driver skills and promote safe driving habits
particularly in terms of planning and observation.
Banksman Training - This course is designed for drivers who are unsure of the mechanical principles involved in
reversing.
Drivers Hours - This course deals with the principal drivers hours regulations which apply in the United Kingdom and other EU member states.
Tachograph Courses - This course will demonstrate the different types of recording devices (tachographs) the different methods of keeping records and how to complete tachograph charts.

Four Day First Aid - This course is designed to train complete novices to the appropriate standards.
Two Day First Aid - The course is for existing first aiders only.
Manual Handling Course - The course looks at alternative ways of lifting safety procedures and provides training
in manual handling.
Basic Fire Awareness - This fire fighting course gives "hands on" experience fighting different types of fires and
deals with the theory of fire.
Basic Health and Safety - These courses are certified by the Royal Society for the Promotion of Health and The
Chartered Institute of Health and Safety.
