Certificate of Professional Competence

These courses have been specifically designed to meet the requirements for goods vehicle operators. Everyone involved in road transport who operates vehicles for hire and reward must demonstrate evidence of professional competence, in compliance with the Public Passenger Vehiles Act 1981. This act implements European Union (EU) Directive 74/561, Article 3.

To comply with these regulations all persons wishing to engage as road passenge operations must demonstrate the following: -

  •  You are of good repute.
  •  You have appropriate financial standing.
  •  You are professionally competent.

The requirements of (EU) Directive 74/561 applies to road freight national and international operations and to road passenger transport.

To demonstrate professional competence candidates must sit formal examinations, and in addition successfully complete case studies as part of the examination process. A successful outcome will entitle the candidate to apply for an operators license.

 

Passenger CPC Course
This course is designed to meet the needs of the Public/Passenger service vehicle operator license requirements.

To satisfy the traffic commissioners you must demonstrate

You are professionally competent
You are of good repute
You have appropriate financial standing

A successful outcome will entitle you to apply for a Passenger Operators License.
